We all need to SMILE.

Celebrate the month and your family’s health!

Click and Print this certificate out and present it to my office for your August Health Check Up.

This is for NEW PATIENTS ONLY.

Give this certificate to your FRIENDS & LOVED ONES during the month of August and they’ll receive a FREE Health Evaluation at our office. We care about you and your loved ones and we don’t want to forget anyone, including the little ones. If you have a friend or family member that is currently “not” under our care, please take this certificate to them and have them call immediately. It’s FREE.

There are NO HIDDEN CHARGES and the purpose of this check up is to determine if they are a chiropractic candidate. As always, there are no guarantees we can help, but if we can, we want that chance. There is nothing more important than your HEALTH. If you need additional copies of this certificate, please call the office and we’ll send them to you-FIRST CLASS, or you can just pick them up at the front desk, on your next appointment. Just ask! A Berry Smart Way to Prevent Colon Cancer

By Kelley Herring

New research indicates that pterostilbene – which is found in blueberries – shows promise for the prevention of colon cancer.

Researchers at Rutgers and the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) teamed up to investigate pterostilbene’s cancer-fighting effects. In the study, rats were given azoxymethane – a compound that causes colon cancer. Half of the animals were then given a balanced daily diet, while the rest were given the same diet supplemented with pterostilbene.

At the end of the eight-week study period, the rats that were given the supplement showed 57 percent fewer pre-cancerous lesions in their colons than those in the control group.

Make delicious, antioxidant-rich blueberries a mainstay in your diet. A great way to keep them on hand is to buy them frozen. Then just thaw and enjoy

>>JOKE of the MONTH<<

I was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital after my wife had gone into labour and the nurse walked out and said to the man sitting next to me, “Congratulations sir, you’re the new father of twins!”

The man replied, “How about that, I work for the Doublemint Chewing Gum Company.” The man then followed the woman to his wife’s room.

About an hour later, the same nurse entered the waiting room and announced that Mr. Smith’s wife has just had triplets. Mr. Smith stood up and said, “Well, how do ya like that, I work for the 3M Company.”

The gentleman that was sitting next to me then got up and started to leave. When I asked him why he was leaving, he remarked, “I think I need a breath of fresh air.”

The man continued, “I work for 7-UP.”

Here are some August facts:

  • August is the eighth month, renamed by the Romans from Sextilis’, meaning sixth, to honor their emperor, Augustus.
  • August is the height of the summer time in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere. The longest days of the year are passed, but the hot days remain. In the northern regions & mountains, cool nights & early frosts lets one know that the summer is about to come to an end. In the Southern Hemisphere, August means the winter will soon be over.
  • The birds are planning to fly south for the winter. The insects are noisier & numerous than in any other month. This is perhaps the busiest month for businesses, since most people take their vacations in August.
